This Sky Stream Driver for Elan OS (Nice) gives full IP remote control of a Sky Stream puck or a Sky Glass TV from an Elan system, over the network. It uses the same protocol as the official Sky Remote phone app, so every button responds at app speed and the box can be hidden in a cupboard – no IR emitter and no HDMI-CEC.

It is a control-only driver. Sky’s protocol does not publish playback information, so there is no now-playing, channel number or volume level fed back into Elan. The driver does report whether the box is awake or asleep, and which app is on screen.

A companion Sky Stream Manager driver is supplied. It finds Sky Stream boxes on the network automatically and adds a driver for each one, with the box’s name, IP address and MAC address already filled in. This is the recommended way to install.

• Power-on (via Wake-on-LAN) and power-off, on boxes whose hardware supports Wake-on-LAN
• Keep Box Awake option, to stop a box that is set to auto-sleep from dropping into standby
• Automatic discovery and install of every Sky Stream on the network via the Sky Stream Manager

Driver uses Intrinsic(Athena) technology for key free licensing, update alerts and enhanced support

Intrinsic Standard Integration – Unofficial public API driver. This driver uses a local API publicly available online but not officially released by Sky. This driver is fully supported for as long as the API is available.
